Raspberry Anise Fizz
Bringing the summer vibes and using up the garden’s bounty this light and refreshing cocktail highlights juicy raspberries and the beautiful pollinator friendly anise hyssop flower. A splash of seltzer here makes this a cocktail you’re sure to enjoy at any cookout or after a hot day in the garden or yard. The additional of anise hyssop adds extra depth and complexity.
Raspberry Anise Fizz Recipe
1.5 oz New Dawn Bourbon
1/2 oz triple sec
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/4 oz honey syrup
small handful of raspberries
2 leaves anise hyssop
1.5 oz seltzer (two splashes)
Combine raspberries and anise hyssop leaves in a shaker and muddle. Add remaining ingredients other than seltzer and ice. Shake till chilled and double strain into a rocks glass with crushed ice. Top with seltzer and garnish with an anise hyssop flower. [No anise hyssop? Fennel makes a nice substitute!]
